Friday Meal Schedule
  • On Friday afternoon, students pick up brown bag sack meal.
  • On Sabbath, breakfast is provided.
Uniform
  • Gym uniform is only needed for students while enrolled in a gym class.
  • Students DO NOT wear their gym uniform as a daily school uniform.  Rather, they change before and after class.  It is expected for students to be in their school approved dress uniform daily.
  • The Dress uniform is worn Monday to Thursday.
  • PFA logo polo shirt with Jeans is worn on Fridays.
  • Dress Uniform shoes – can be sneakers, but it must be all black.
Parent Weekend
  • This is not mandatory but recommended.  Your child may like to see you.
  • Parents weekend runs from Friday to Sunday.
  • On Friday, Vespers begin at 7 pm
  • Parent Conferences are held the same weekend.  The school will send a link to sign up for the conference with your child’s schedule.
  • Saturday – plan to attend church
  • Sunday – in the past, this is our class fundraiser weekend.
  • Most parents stay at a hotel during parents weekend.
Handy Hall Weekend
  • Handy Hall is the boys dorm.
  • Handy Hall Weekend is a specially planned weekend by the boys.
  • The students raise funds through the school year for this event.
  • Girls need a dress/Guys need a suit for this event.
Kimbrough Hall Weekend
  • Kimbrough Hall is the girls dorm.
  • Kimbrough Hall weekend is a specially planned weekend planned by the girls.
  • Girls wear a dress/Guys wear a suit for this event.
Shipping
  • To ship packages to your child, use the physically address – not the PO Box.
  • The address 361 Pine Forge Road, Pine Forge, PA 19548
Fundraising
  • Each class has a class sponsor.  Normally this is a teacher and a parent coordinator works with the students.
Junior/Senior Banquet
  • Girls wear a dress/Guys wear a suit for this event.
  • This is like a prom.
  • The Junior class organizes and pays for the event.  This is their gift to the senior class.
Senior Trip
  • The senior trip is elaborate.  Although a portion of the tuition is allocated for the senior trip, more money is raised to make up the difference.
Promenade Weekend
  • For Junior/Seniors
  • Event happens before the Prom. (Junior/Senior)
  • Parents can visit to help their child get ready for the event.
Senior Seating
  • Seniors are now deemed as the leaders of the school, so the young men and women get to sit with their special someone in church.
  • Parent attendance is not required.
OU Live
  • Seniors visit Oakwood University in Alabama.
  • The school provides transportation.
Parent Weekend

Twice per school year

  • Fall Parent Weekend – the Senior Class is the fundraising recipient for this weekend.
  • Spring Parent Weekend – the Junior Class is the fundraising recipient for this weekend.
SATS

Testing is on Campus –

  • SAT preparation is available – the parent association provides this at no cost – Parents should encourage their child to use the program.
Roommates
  • Students may put in their request.
Graduation

Graduation takes place as a 3-day event:

  • Friday evening – Consecration service.
  • Sabbath/Saturday morning – Baccalaureate service.
  • Sunday morning – Graduation ceremony.

Campus Food Restrictions
  • PFA does not allow meat on campus.
Church Schedule
  • Students are required to go to church every Saturday on time or they will receive demerits.
  • Students are also expected to dress appropriately for church.
Church/School Structure
  • PFA is an academy under the Allegheny East Conference (AEC).  AEC is a conference under the Columbia Union. Columbia Union is a union under North American Division (NAD).  The NAD is a division under the General Conference.
School Correspondences
  • Email is the primary form of communication the school uses.
  • Keep your email address updated with the office.
  • Read ALL correspondences.
DF&I List
  • If a student is on this list, they are restricted from attending weekend events and off campus events  (fun events) until their grades is a “C” and above.
Student Grades
  • Renweb automatically sends a grade progress report.
    Insider tip: The best way to stay on top of what your child’s grades are – log into google classroom as your child or request your child teacher to send you an invite.
Choir Students
  • Choir students who travel, are expected to maintain their classwork.
